Lapel village fair/ Open house report

Thanks to all who visited the shop despite the heat. The fair itself seemed to experience a downturn in attendance and food and craft vendors reported that sales were off. A good gauge of the fair is the fact that the Lions club corn guys sold only about half what they usually do. Their corn was not the spectacular quality they usually have, but they said that they had a difficult time finding ANY corn. The rain Saturday night was very welcome. Joe Green and Bruce Neckar did well and I did about the same as usual. We had lots of people, and lots from Indy. The shop always gets a thorough cleaning and rearranging, and lots of old friends come by. Lapel has returned to the sleepy little town it usually is, and that is welcome.
