Taste of Tippecanoe June 18, 2016

John Bundy and I will bring our duck decoys and handmade rustic willow furniture to downtown Lafayette Saturday June 18 as a part of Traditional Arts Indiana's display at the 35th Taste of Tippecanoe. There will be numerous bands and lots of food at this evening celebration that runs from 4 pm to midnight. We will be doing demonstrations of our craft along with six other Traditional Arts Indiana artists. TAI is sponsored by the Mathers Museum and Indiana University's school of folklore and brings traditional arts and crafts to many Indiana state parks.

There will be a dozen or so of these Bicentennial events during the summer and fall of 2016 culminating with a massive celebration at the Statehouse lawn in October.

I will be making trellises and John has a display of the stages involved in the production of his duck decoys from raw wood to finished decoy.

Traditional Arts Indiana has created a massive display of large posters which include photos and text which provides background information regarding each artist.
