Wild Indiana outdoors/ Bundy ducks

My buddy John Bundy will bring his handcarved duck decoys at the Wild Indiana Outdoors show at the Kokomo Event and Conference Center Saturday and Sunday January 17-18. The show is a first time event sponsored by Ivy Tech and will feature all types of outdoor related stuff. Also my Buddy and fellow Indiana Artisan Andy Cole from Russiaville will show his terrific massive tables and chairs.

Due to a prior commitment to do an arbor for a wedding, I will not be able to join him, but there will be a few items of mine there. It is always hard to judge inaugural events, but John has an intrepid spirit and as he would say he is not doing anything else. It will be an interesting show that will bring people a break from cabin fever and I think this could grow into an event that will draw a serious crowd.

Jan. 17-18, 2015With everything from top-level competition fishermen to representatives of the nation’s largest outdoor adventure organization for women, Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region’s first “Wild Indiana Outdoors” event is designed to have something to interest just about everyone. Also, there will be kids activities throughout the day.The event will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Kokomo Event & Conference Center, 1500 N. Reed Road (Indiana 931). Admission is $5 at the door; children 10 and younger will be admitted for $1 each.All proceeds from the event will go to the Ivy Tech Foundation to support scholarships for Ivy Tech Kokomo Region students.Among those participating as speakers at the event are:Harvey Hinklemeyers will be offering food and Elite Catering will be offering beverages, including hot drinks to chase away the cold as well as beer and wine, for sale during the event.Sponsors of Wild Indiana Outdoors include:Platinum:
